On Wednesday, February 11th the Town Board voted unanimously to pass Ordinance 2026-01, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) Ordinance for the Town of Stockholm. The Town Board heard numerous citizen concerns, gathered information from many sources and were advised by a citizen Study Committee that volunteered numerous hours researching, discussing, drafting and proof-reading the Ordinance.
Any CAFO wishing to operate in the Town of Stockholm, regardless of where they are sited, must first submit an application in accordance with this ordinance. This includes CAFOs who wish to spread manure in the Town.
